Dan Howard

Dan is a proud Bay of Plenty local, raised on a farm in Katikati. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Agriculture), majoring in Accounting, from Lincoln University, and brings a solid foundation in rural finance to his work. His professional experience spans a Chartered Accounting firm in the Waikato and rural banking with Rabobank in Te Puke, before joining the team at YRW.

With a career dedicated to working alongside businesses, Dan has developed a deep understanding of the agricultural sector and beyond. He thrives on helping clients navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and achieve sustainable growth. Now based in Tauranga with his wife, Dan is focused on broadening his portfolio and supporting clients across a diverse range of industries. He combines strong financial acumen with a passion for forecasting, problem-solving, and improving operational efficiency.

Dan is both strategically minded and relationship-driven, taking genuine pride in the success of his clients and colleagues. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring the outdoors on his mountain bike and has been a dedicated community volunteer—supporting the Surfing for Farmers initiative in Mount Maunganui for the past five years.
